Formula 1 group chats get loud on race weekends, and this stretch of the 2026 season has given them plenty to talk about. On Sunday, Nov 1, Kimi Antonelli finished 3rd at the Mexico City Grand Prix, which was enough to clinch the 2026 title and make the 20-year-old Mercedes driver the youngest world champion in Formula 1 history, according to Formula1.com. Max Verstappen won the race for Red Bull. That's a good excuse to give your chat a name that fits, so here are 70 ideas sorted by vibe.

How to watch together and keep the chat useful
In the US, Apple TV is the exclusive home of F1 in 2026, priced at $12.99 a month with F1 TV Premium included. Its multiview mode shows up to 4 feeds at once on supported devices, and Apple Music carries free live race audio, which helps the friend stuck in the car on race day. After Brazil, the calendar runs through Las Vegas on Nov 21, Qatar on Nov 29 and Abu Dhabi on Dec 6, so there's still plenty of season left now that the title is settled.
A good name is only the start, and a chat that dies between race weekends usually needs a few habits to stay fun. Our tips on how to revive a dead group chat and our list of group chat games to play with friends both work well during the long winter break between seasons. If your friends follow more than one sport, our NFL group chat names and tennis group chat names cover the rest of the calendar.
